23 Things to Do in 2023

Let's go back almost a year from now.  I was scrolling mindlessly on Instagram when I came across this post by a friend of a friend (I like to follow entrepreneurs and she is an exceptional one). She had this brilliant idea of 23 in 23.  Honestly, this post was a major game-changer for my thought process.  I dove in and created my own list of 23 things to do in 2023. I can say, that if I didn't have this list to look at every day, it would have likely been a pretty boring year.  But instead, I had some epic adventures!!  So huge thank you to Bear and Fox Apparel for the inspiration!!

Before I share my list, I think it is important to point out the importance of writing things down.  Looking at them frequently.  And taking action.

Write that S#*T Down!

I started taking extensive notes on anything and everything at a very young age.  I always just thought I had a bad memory.  But learned that taking notes was actually a really great tool for me to learn and retain more information.  I always did pretty well in school (with the exception of math, for some reason my brain didn't retain formulas no matter how many times I wrote them down. Lol).  But as I grew into adulthood, the only things I wrote down were lists.  To-Do Lists.  Grocery Lists.  Errand Lists.  It was very much dictated by my daily life and what was going on.  As my kids started to get older in their high school years, I was able to Shift My Life back into a learning environment.  Writing things down, started to become fun. Writing had a purpose.

Well, it turns out that there is science behind writing things down and the benefits.  Especially when it comes to goals!  Even more so, the more vividly you describe your goals the more likely you are to be successful with them.  1.2 to 1.4 times more likely!!

Long story short…I wrote the list.  23 Things to Do in 2023.  I haven't done everything on the list…yet, but if it wasn't for the list, I would have never gone on the adventures I did this year.  Here it is:
